Product Description

This unit allows the control of the heat dissipation on a heating radiator. With the local manual control the user presets the convenience temperature on a scale between one (16°C) and five (28°C) and anti-freeze protection like on any other conventional thermostatic radiator valve. It will be included and controlled in a Z-Wave network by a remote control, a wireless control centre or any other kind of Z-Wave controller including a PC-software.  Via Z-Wave the TRV can be turned into an energy saving mode, where the room temperature is regulated to about 3…4K lower than in convenience mode. This is the recommended temperature difference used to save energy while protecting the room climate. An indicator on top of the device shows the mode. A sun-icon indicates convenience mode, moon-icon indicates the energy saving mode. Since the normal regulation of the temperature is done mechanically like in conventional TRV&rsquos and only the switching between convenience and energy saving move is done with a motor consuming electrical energy, the battery lasts for up to four heating periods.
To enable energy saving even when the central Z-Wave wireless control is not available the device can be preset with up to four different heating times per day. Once programmed it will change the heating mode without any further interaction. Preset heating modes can always be overwritten either manually on the device or wirelessly with an overwrite command.
