Include - This function allow you to add awning blind to the network Z-Wave. Follow the procedur adding device to the network Z-Wave according to user manual supplied with the product. Then, press the programming button P on the awning blind for 1 second.Autoinclusion - This feature allow you to add hard to reach devices to Z-Wave network. 3-times ON and OFF the power awning blind (OFF-ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON) causes the introduction of awning blind to Autoinclusion mode. Please note that the procedure has been started the time between on and off can not exceed 20s. Autoinclusion mode is activated for a maximum of 10 minutes.During this time, we can add an awning to any Z-Wave controller running in the Include procedure.
Z-Wave is the international wireless protocol for communication in the Smart Home. This device is suited for use in the region mentioned in the Quickstart section.
Z-Wave ensures a reliable communication by reconfirming every message (two-way communication) and every mains powered node can act as a repeater for other nodes (meshed network) in case the receiver is not in direct wireless range of the transmitter.
This device and every other certified Z-Wave device can be used together with any other certified Z-Wave device regardless of brand and origin as long as both are suited for the same frequency range.
If a device supports secure communication it will communicate with other devices secure as long as this device provides the same or a higher level of security. Otherwise it will automatically turn into a lower level of security to maintain backward compatibility.

FAKRO AMZ Solar awning blind is a perfect combination of comfort of use and effective protection from heat. Due to the fact that the awning blind absorbs solar radiation before it reaches the glazing and emits the heat to the outside of the room, it constitutes much better protectction from tiresome heat in the sunny days than internal accessories. At the same time, it allows the ingress of natural light and ensures visual contact with the environment. FAKRO AMZ Solar is equipped with the algorithm which allows to operate the awning blind depending on the insolation level. It is also equipped with the Z-Wave remote control. In an emergency, the awning blind can be controlled by a service button located on the awning blind. The solar awning blind is powered by 12VDC battery pack built-in in the blinds cases powered by the solar panel. The AMZ Solar awning blind has three protections: - Maximum extension (encoder maximum position)- Completely rolled up (encoder minimum position)- Current limiting protecting the awning blind against damage and user against accidental injury resulting from the contact with moving elements of the awning blind. There are four association groups in FAKRO AMZ Solar awning blind:1. Life Linegroup for reporting a position of the awning blind after each stoppage and alarm reporting (overcurrent, damage encoders). A maximum 1 device can be in this group.2. Basic Repeatgroup used to transfer received basic commands to devices included in this group. A maximum 5 devices can be in this group. 3. Multilevel Repeatgroup used to transfer received multilevel commands to devices included in this group. A maximum 5 devices can be in this group. 4. Basic Controlgroup used to transfer received commands from the AMZ Solar (A, S mode) to devices included in this group. A maximum 5 devices can be in this group.Technical Parameters: Power voltage: 12V DCRated current: 1,4 ACurrent limit: YESSpeed: 23 r.p.mTemperature of usage: (-10 deg C) do (65 deg C) Supplying cable: 2 x 0,75 mm2
Please read the user manual before installing the product.
In order to include (add) a Z-Wave device to a network it must be in factory default state. Please make sure to reset the device into factory default. You can do this by performing an Exclusion operation as described below in the manual. Every Z-Wave controller is able to perform this operation however it is recommended to use the primary controller of the previous network to make sure the very device is excluded properly from this network.
This device also allows to be reset without any involvement of a Z-Wave controller. This procedure should only be used when the primary controller is inoperable.
Device Reset LocallyThis function allows you to reset the Z-Wave network without the use of Z-Wave controller. Press 5 times the programming button P fast, the awning blind was removed from the Z-Wave network, restore the default parameters, name and locations. Please use this procedure only when the network primary controller is missing or otherwise inoperable.
On factory default the device does not belong to any Z-Wave network. The device needs to be added to an existing wireless network to communicate with the devices of this network. This process is called Inclusion.
Devices can also be removed from a network. This process is called Exclusion. Both processes are initiated by the primary controller of the Z-Wave network. This controller is turned into exclusion respective inclusion mode. Inclusion and Exclusion is then performed doing a special manual action right on the device.
Here are a few hints for network installation if things dont work as expected.
Z-Wave devices control other Z-Wave devices. The relationship between one device controlling another device is called association. In order to control a different device, the controlling device needs to maintain a list of devices that will receive controlling commands. These lists are called association groups and they are always related to certain events (e.g. button pressed, sensor triggers, ...). In case the event happens all devices stored in the respective association group will receive the same wireless command wireless command, typically a 'Basic Set' Command.

---|---|---|
1 | 1 | Z-Wave Plus Lifeline - group for position reporting awning blind after each a stoppage and alarm reporting (overcurrent, damage encoders) |
2 | 5 | Basic Repeatgroup used to transfer the received basic commands to the devices included in this group. |
3 | 5 | Multilevel Repeatgroup used to transfer the received multilevel commands to the devices included in this group. |
4 | 5 | Basic Controlgroup used to transfer the received commands from AMZ Solar (A, S mode) to the devices included in this group. |
Z-Wave products are supposed to work out of the box after inclusion, however certain configuration can adapt the function better to user needs or unlock further enhanced features.
IMPORTANT: Controllers may only allow configuring signed values. In order to set values in the range 128 ... 255 the value sent in the application shall be the desired value minus 256. For example: To set a parameter to 200 it may be needed to set a value of 200 minus 256 = minus 56. In case of a two byte value the same logic applies: Values greater than 32768 may needed to be given as negative values too.
